    Brothers,

Our brother Thomas is coordinating our guys to serve dinner at the St. Agnes Retreat this Saturday. They will be meeting at St. Rose at 4:30pm for those who want to carpool. If not then please be there by 5:00pm to help serve the meal.

Plan for a couple of hours to serve. The address for the retreat is 3333 South Miami Avenue at the youth center toward the back of La Salle High. This is in Coconut Grove.

When you serve you rekindle your fire and you remember why your retreat meant so much to you....the guys serving had an impact...be that miracle for someone else.

Please coordinate with Thomas if you plan on attending. His cell is 786-478-1988 and his email is thomas.wensjoe@cddistribution.com

    Dear Brothers,

I would like to invite you to help with serving meals at Epiphany’s men’s Emmaus retreat this coming weekend, October 16-18, at Epiphany Church Parish Hall, SW 57th Avenue and 84st Street .

Please let me know which meal your Emmaus group wants to serve. Try to sign up for a meal that no other parish has committed to serving; if all meals have been chosen, then sign up for any serving.

    Some guidelines:

    1) Servers should arrive 15 minutes before the meal times scheduled. Our meal schedule is as follows:

Friday 10/16/09 Dinner at 7:00 PM

Saturday 10/17/09 Breakfast at 7:00 AM – Little Flower

    Lunch at 12:00 PM

Dinner at 6:00 PM – St. Agnes

Sunday 10/18/09 Breakfast at 7:00 AM -- Belen

    Lunch at 12:00 PM

    2) If brothers from a parish cannot serve at the meal selected for that parish, they can come to any other meal to serve.

    3) Brothers should try to wear their Emmaus shirts with the rose.

    4) Serving meals is a time … to serve meals. Because of scheduling constraints, we ask that brothers try to refrain from giving testimony during the servants’ introductions.

I look forward to hearing from you and seeing Emmaus brothers from as many parishes as possible during our weekend.

    God Bless!

    Brothers,

Our brothers of Saint Peter & Paul are holding their Emmaus retreat this weekend October 23, 24, and 25 at the Casa Chali on the premises of Corpus Christi School. We have volunteered our group to serve Saturday breakfast (October 24) at 7:00 am. These guys always serve at our retreats and we always serve for them. The Casa Chali is difficult to find. The address is 3225 NW 8 Ave. Please refer to the mapquest link included below for precise directions. Please get back to me if you can make it. As we prepare for our own retreat remember it is better “to serve” than to “be served”.

    Wichi,
Can you please forward to our Emmaus community. Thanks.

    Men of Emmaus,

    We need your help!

This upcoming weekend, we will be holding our next English retreat at Casa Manresa.

Our number of retreatants has increase dramatically during the past week and we are now looking at a group in the range of 35 (plus) retreatants.

As you know, the more guys we serve, the more souls the Holy Spirit can touch, the more future workers for Christ but also the more work is required.

In whatever capacity you can, your services would be greatly appreciated during the weekend. We will especially are looking for guys to help in the kitchen, serving meals and to pray in the chapel before the Blessed Sacrament, which will be exposed.

    Jesus Christ is Risen!

    God bless,
